On behalf of the Board of Directors, management and staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you. In July of 2009, United Bancorp, the holding company of United Trust Bank, sold stock and brought in over 60 new shareholders. Together with the existing shareholders they have help strengthen the Bank's capital position so that management can develop a strong and safe growth of the Bank's assets and profits. Many of United Bancorp’s Shareholders live and work in the Southwest Suburban area and are very interested in helping those community's businesses and citizens in their Banking needs. United Trust Bank has worked diligently over the past year to strengthen its capital position, expand its management team and enhance its retail and commercial banking products and services. I am pleased to report that we are succeeding on all fronts.

John P. Hyland, President & Chief Executive Officer & Director
John serves as President and CEO of United Trust Bank and was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors in June, 2010. During his 30+ year career in banking, John served as President & CEO of Southwest Financial Bank and Trust in Chicago from 1990 to 1998 and Security Federal Bank in St. John, Indiana from 1998 to 2004. John has served as a Trustee of Moraine Valley Community College and a partner in various other Chicago area businesses.
Janice J. Satala-Erdakos, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Janice started her career in banking in the mid-90's and has been working in Community Banks since. With 15+ years in the Banking Industry, she has served in many capacities and areas from Accounting to Lending. Although she was hired by United Trust Bank in April 2003 as the Loan Operations Manager, her expertise in other areas of the Bank allowed us to utilize her in the Operations area where she serves as Vice President of Operations and BSA Officer.
Kenneth L. Shapiro, Executive Vice President of Lending
Mr. Shapiro has been in the financing and banking industry for over 25 years working at both large and small financial institutions. He has been involved in financing which includes residential (your home), multifamily (apartment buildings five or more units), commercial real estate and businesses in those years. This experience allows Mr. Shapiro to be able to discuss and look for solutions for all of your financing needs for real estate and your business needs.
Mr. Shapiro has a BS in Economics from Illinois State University and a MBA from Governors State University. In addition Mr. Shapiro has completed an executive management program at University of Chicago (now known as the Booth School of Business).
Anne Henderson, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Henderson comes to United Trust Bank as the Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for the overseeing the financial and accounting aspects of the bank. Anne is a seasoned banker with years of experience in community banking. Her first position began as a part-time teller later advancing to the CFO position. Ann received her BA in Accounting from Dominican University (formerly Rosary College) and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Robert T Hoholik, Vice President of Lending
Robert is a seasoned banker with 17 years experience in the commercial banking industry. His career has primarily been focused on credit risk / portfolio management, underwriting, business development, special assets and oversight of OREO properties. He has worked for large institutions such as Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services to small financial institutions. Robert has a BS in Economics from Northern Illinois University.

Neil has been a Principal Partner and Vice President of Business Development for Network Real Estate Group Ltd. since 2000. He has been practicing real estate in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs since 1988 and has been a licensed and certified real estate appraiser since 1994. His real estate knowledge encompasses consulting, sale/leasing, financing, site acquisitions, development and management of real estate properties. Neil has served on advisory boards with Beverly Bank & St. Paul Federal. He received an Honorable Discharge after serving with the United States Army from 1982 to 1985.
James is President of J and P Holdings, a venture owning several insurance-related companies including First Chicago Insurance Company, United Security Life and Health Insurance Company and Hallberg Commercial Insurers. Previously, James Hallberg founded and sold Hallberg Insurance Agency and Insure One Agency. He has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Alan Hambourger is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner and a Registered Representative.

Appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors in June, 2010, John has served as President & CEO of United Trust Bank since January of 2009.
Mr. McLaughlin is Executive Director of the Plumbing Contractors Association of Chicago & Cook County and the Plumbing Council of Chicagoland. Dan also serves as the Mayor of Orland Park and a Board Member with the Better Business Bureau.
He is a partner with Thunderbird, LLC, a grouping of business and real estate interests. John was also President and CEO of Pollution Control Industries, a nationally recognized environmental company until May of 2008. Prior to his involvement with Pollution Control Industries, John was a commercial lender with American National Bank of Chicago. John also serves as President of Elk Grove Village based Metal Impact, LLC.
